Cox Business Honors Women Entrepreneurs, Executives and Community Leaders

On June 26, I was delighted to be the keynote speaker for the Women in Business event sponsored by Cox Business. The luncheon of 100-plus attendees was held to honor women who were nominees of the Women in Business award presented by the Orange County Business Journal. My presentation - titled “Keys to Wealth Management - Do You Have Your Act Together?” - delved into what the average 35-55 year old needs to know about his or her wealth management affairs. During a series of provocative questions, I challenged the attendees to focus on issues such as estate planning, investments options, insurance, budgeting and more. To get a taste of the questions, see the Wealth Management Quiz above.

One lucky audience member, Linda Scheck of WomanSage, won the opportunity drawing to receive our wealth management “What You Need to Know KitTM.” WomanSage is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to educating, empowering and fostering mentoring relationships among women in transition (so helpful to me, since I always seem to be in some sort of transition!). Special congratulations to her for being so excited to win this life-changing educational resource guide and organizational tool! I know Linda will get a lot out of the Kit. Plus, I hope to hear from other members of WomanSage who want to simplify the complexities of wealth management! You can get your own Kit by ordering online.

My thanks to Cox Business for hosting the event. As a leading business provider of telecommunication services, they are a great partner to have to help you build your business - even though I can’t drag my husband away from his COX HD TV!

  1. I was at the lunch and was surprised at what I did not know about what I have for our trust and insurance products. I am going to order the wealth management Kit for sure - and hey, I’m going to go out and buy some new shoes - Camille was right, the COX ladies all had great shoes on and put mine to shame!
